Its thursday afternoon and for me lobster mini season is over. For anyone who does not know mini season is two days of lobster harvesting for the public before the commercial fishermen can trap them all. Its fun and very competitive. Everyone goes lobster prospecting the week before. We all mark our best spot, (top secret spot) to return to on the last Wednesday and thursday of July. This year they were hard to find. Our two day count was 30.

Wednesday we left the dock around 5 am. We had to be anchored on our top secret spot 30 minuets before dawn.

July -- Already?

Is it really July already? This year (weather wise) has been so odd. The winter was never cold, the water was warm in February , but we have had so many days when it rained or was just too windy to do much. We had tropical storm Debbie go past and it rained for about nine days. The water visibility is still not cleared up from that. This was a long way to say the weather has been bad and we haven't done much blog worthy.

Al has been fishing and we have restocked the freezer with fish . Ron caught a 40 pounder and everyone held it for pictures.
