Today is it!!!

Today is the last day of "The great tile project of 2012". I would need the help of a great author to express our delight at today arrival. I looked at the dates of my first photos, we have been working on this since jan 20th. I hate to admit this but, I would not — could not do this ever again. The other part of this story is that to do the floors we had to open a lot of cans of worms. We have no doors, baseboards, door trim, we need to paint the whole house, reinstall the hurricane shutters, and replace all the aluminum porch screens. That's the short list. Having said that we have beautiful floors!

Its sunday at last . Al is sleeping on his chair . I am just able to do this post. We really need to be done with this project

We finished the floors in the house today. Next week we will be working on the showers.

We started Al's shower yesterday and discovered the tiles had black marks in the glaze. So, we headed to Miami this morning to return them and to make new selections. It was a long day but were home with new shower tile. Back to work tomorrow

Getting there

Its hard to take interesting photos of tile, but I've done my best. It feels so nice to walk on clean floors.  I am looking forward to posting about fun things like swimming and fishing. I'll have to wait another week or two.
